American artist The Estate Of Bill Viola has been elected as this year's Honorary Royal Academician at the Royal Academy of Arts, alongside Kiki Smith.
Each year the Royal Academy of Arts's 80 full Academicians, all of whom are practising artists, vote for up to two honorary members to receive the award, which honours distinguished artists who live outside the UK.
